Cornbury Music Festival 2008 Another weekend another festival. Despite the fact the country is going down the shitter at a fast old rate of knots, at least we have one industry that appears to be thriving. Yes, UK music festivals are now big business and not a weekend seems to go by without some enterprising soul with a big field and a beer tent setting up shop with a few bands and a small Barclayloan. Wychwood Music Festival 2008 This was the fourth annual Wychwood Festival, and perhaps the most rewardingly diverse one yet. Fields + Hush The Many - 22nd April, The Glee Club Fields are one of the most promising new British bands of 2007, currently touring with newcomers Hush the Many (Heed the Few) in support. Fields recently released their debut album "Everything Last Winter" to positive reviews, as well as their new single "Charming the Flames", whilst Hush the Many released their new single "Song of a Page" just a day after this live performance. Scott Matthews + Josh Pyke - April 1st, Oxford Brookes Student Union In this small but surprisingly atmospheric venue, the evenings entertainment was begun by a single man and his acoustic guitar.
